Happy Easter!!

In the lead up to Easter (helloooo 4 days off) we decided to do a little Easter inspiration shoot, styled by Autumn Avenue and I photographed it all.

Mmmmm hot cross buns!!

Hope you all have a simply splendid Easter break, so looking forward to my chocolate overindulgence belly ache!

Autumn Avenue

Good morning all!

I have some exciting news to share, a very dear friend Renee Taipana and I are starting a little side business that we are so thrilled about!!! We're called Autumn Avenue, we are event stylists!

Here is a little bit more about us-

Autumn Avenue offers a styling service for events/occasions big and small. We are inspired by YOU – specialising in the creation and development of customised themes that are not only beautiful but also personal.
We are two girls - one Kiwi (don’t hold it against her..) and one "Swaussie" - a ½ Swiss (mmm chocolate) ½ Aussie chick - who admit they have issues with perfectionism and would love to channel this energy into your event. We cater for everything from baby showers/kids parties/engagement parties/hens parties and all things in between, so let us do the hard work (we LOVE it!) and you can relax!

Our service cost depends on the size of the event so please contact us for a quote. We have various options available, from simply assisting you in developing your theme (if you already have an idea but you’re not quite sure how to put it together), to our full service style and set up. We can even provide the extra cherry on top with photography for your event by our Swaussie (owner/photographer of Life is Butterful blog)

We are super friendly so drop us a line on autumnavenueevents@gmail.com to discuss your styling needs/event/ideas – or to just say hey!

We look forward to chatting with you,
Joni and Renee xox

Mood boarding

Morning all!

It's mood boarding time! Here is a mash up of pics/inspiration I have collected from the net-o-sphere. I adore the use of greys and pastel so I wanted to create a board reflecting that tone.

Hope you’re all having a very happy Friday!!

Birthday card

Hi all!

Here is a teeny tiny post for today, but I promise there is a lot in the pipe line so watch this space! I just wanted to share a birthday card I made. So easy to make yourself and only cost me around $1 to make! Perfect for the financially savvy folk out there who want to express their creativity and make a card themselves for their loved ones...

Basically to make this all you need is:
· 2 x pieces of A4 cardboard, different colours
· A roll of twine/string (which I already had)
· multi coloured, patterned paper, I used an issue of Frankie magazine and just cut out the triangles from it's pages.
· Black felt tip pen, I hand wrote the "Happy Birthday" font on the bunting.

Apologies for the poor quality, this was taken on my iphone!
